"I don't want to rot in my grave if I committed the murder of the shepherd Dühn," the young Friedrich Freiherr von Kuhlbanz swore when he died almost 300 years ago. He is cursed beyond death and became a legend as the mummy of Roggelin. One night the girl Maja confronts him in person during a test of courage. Despite all warnings, Maja decides to prove Friedrich's innocence after Friedrich von Kuhlbanz has won her over with his enigmatic, sad story.
