This is the definitive television adaptation of Daniel Defoe's classic adventure story of a young Englishman's sole quest for survival on a desert island. The Adventures of Robinson Crusoe made its UK debut on BBC 1 in 1965 and thereafter became a staple part of the school summer holiday schedules.
