Human Cargo

This three-part epic Canadian miniseries deals with racism, illegal immigrants, aids, and deportation. This six hour serial is about the interjoined stories of a failed political candidate who gets a patronage position on a refugee hearing board, her daughter who goes to work with an NGO in Burundi and meets the family of a man who escapes slave labour in a mine. He evenutally gets to Canada, where he seeks refuge.
