Song of the Samurai

Set in Edo during the Bakumatsu, Hijikata Toshizo—once a street fighter—finds purpose at the Shieikan dojo alongside Kondo, Yamanami, and Okita. A deadly clash with assassin Okada Izo forges their bond, but in Kyoto their ambitions collide with the era’s violence and the volatile influence of Serizawa Kamo.
