The Crusaders

These are the stories of the medieval Knights who dedicated their entire lives to God and to the fight against His enemies. Spanning most of the High Middle Ages (1050-1300 CE), a series of military expeditions called the Crusades were launched from Christian Europe against the peoples of the Near East. The Crusades were military campaigns organised by popes and Christian western powers to take Jerusalem and the Holy Land back from Muslim control and then defend those gains.
