20 YEARS, THE 2 GOLDEN AGES OF FRENCH RAP

This new doc series will draw parallels between two major eras in the history of French rap: The golden age of French rap (1995-2000) and The second golden age of French rap (2015-2020). An immersion in 5 episodes told by actors of the time and today including Soprano, Big Flo & Oli, Bianca Costa, Mister V, Arsenik, Kerchak, Angelo Gopée (Live Nation France), Sofiane Pamart, Le Rat Luciano, Fif (founder of Booska-P), Fred Musa (host Planète Rap/Skyrock), journalists Medhi Maizi, Olivier Cachin and Narjes Bahhar, Fifou (photographer), Valérie Atlan (producer), Florent-Emilio Siri (directors of clips from IAM, NTM and Solaar and from the Marseille/Netflix series). From the beginnings of French rap, to the refusal of the industry and the media to support it, through its prominent place in our society today, in 20 years French rap has revolutionized the French scene, imposing its codes and its culture. Back on a popular tidal wave!
