Operation Manhunt (1977)

A classic of 70s Hong Kong television, the RTV (later ATV) police series Operation Manhunt was written and directed by Johnny Mak, who later produced the Long Arm of the Law film series. The drama comprises of eight episodic stories of different cases involving triad disputes, robbery, sexual assault, murder and other crimes. Ka Lun and Wang Chung play officers of different personalities in the Criminal Investigation Division (CID). The former, who is new to the division, believes in going by the books, while the latter is impatient and impulsive. Though the two occasionally clash over their differing investigation methods, over time they build a strong rapport and work together to solve every crime that comes their way.
