Juliane and her life, love, ups and downs in Christianshavn around the turn of the century. Juliane is a very independent woman with legs in her nose. Despite the women's views of the time, she insists on doing things her own way. But she struggles with her husband, who cares more about the labor movement than Juliane and their shared children.
