In a tranquil northeastern town of Lanhe, a vicious crime unfolds, claiming three lives in vastly different ways. Captain Guan Yu of the Lanhe Police Force swiftly launches an investigation. Suspects emerge one by one: Yang Si, just released from prison two months ago. Yang Xuesong, stepson deeply entangled with two of the deceased; Wang Ping, ex-wife of Yan Hongqiao, and even a mysterious man long declared dead in the records.
