Der Bierkönig – Tod am Ballermann

In 1997, the Frankfurt-born restaurant and bar operator Manfred Meisel, his son Patrick and the animal keeper Claudia Leisten were murdered in Mallorca. Between 1990 and his death, Meisel ran the “Bierkönig” beer garden and made it known beyond the borders of the party island. Even after 25 years, the crime has not been solved. The three-part documentary visits the then chief investigator of the Spanish police and tries to shed light on the investigations at the time.
