“Rubber cells, straitjackets and crazy people.” That was Marcel's idea of a psychiatric ward before he was taken to the LVR Clinic in Düren - after his suicide attempt. He quickly realizes that the reality on the ward is completely different and that he can be helped. David (29) is here for the second time with psychosis and the mother of two Imane, who no longer wanted to live after the death of her son, is gaining new courage to live with the help of therapy. For several months, a camera team followed the everyday life of the “Protected Station 11f” – the doors of which can only be opened by staff.
