Loving Strangers

As structural engineer Jiang Jia Qi approaches 40 years old, his life crumbles around him after his wife cheated on him with her boss and his job site becomes increasingly hostile. The arrival of Zhou Yu An threatens his already-deteriorating work life even more, as she was initially hired by another company to commit corporate espionage against Jia Qi. However, Yu An finds Jia Qi's quiet resilience and integrity deeply moving, especially as she struggles with poverty while caring for her bedridden grandmother. Jia Qi and Yu An strike up an unlikely friendship, connected by a shared understanding of hardship and mutual respect for each other, gradually helping each other emotionally in ways they never could have expected.
