Prison Tapes

German rap has been the number 1 genre in Germany for many years and for many listeners it is much more than just music - an outlet that allows you to look deeply and gives hope. For this reason, the German rap stars Veysel, Eko Fresh, Nimo and Olexesh devote themselves to young prisoners and give them a second chance: in four self-contained episodes of "Prison Tapes" they produce a professional song together - behind bars - and give the “numbers” a face again. With the help of the music, the prisoners experience real appreciation, recognize new perspectives and give very personal insights into why they went down the wrong path at a young age. And who knows, maybe one of them will take the chance and actually become a rapper...
