A man who grew up in the GDR as an adopted child sets out to find his birth mother. But she has it in black and white that he died decades ago. Did East Germany fake the deaths of babies and then put them up for adoption? For the first time, it is possible to prove the enormous suspicion in a documentary. The series follows other mothers who search for their children because they are convinced that their children have not died. The four-part RTL+ true crime documentary "Entrissen - The disappeared babies of the GDR" uses circumstantial evidence and evidence to explore a form of child abduction that was previously thought to be almost impossible.
