Magna Carta is the charter on liberties and justice signed by the English King John in the year 1215. Philip Quenby investigates how this charter was used in the centuries that followed and how relevant it still is today. This 5-part series bookended by events whose anniversaries fall just 3 days apart: the sealing of Magna Carta on 15 June 1215 and the battle of Waterloo on 18 June 1815.
