After showing different clippings about machismo and homophobia in the world of football, it's time to look in the mirror and show the role of the sports press in this structure. William and Joanna bring their own experiences in newsrooms and reports from professionals such as Alê Xavier, Renata Mendonça and Victor Bessa. In addition to the internal environment, we address famous cases of homophobia published in major media with stigmatized, sensational and even false representations with players and clubs. However, even with its past mistakes, we will discuss how the press has evolved and today can play a different role in combating prejudice and exclusion of LGBTQIA+ people.
