Há 100 anos, a Seara Nova

They trace the course of this "magazine of doctrine and criticism", in which many of the best known Portuguese intellectuals of the 20th century participated, also allowing us to revisit decisive years of our History, from the crises of the First Republic to the establishment of democracy, with emphasis on the long dictatorship of the Estado Novo, years in which "Seara Nova" faced not only exiles and prisons of its directors, editors and collaborators and the action of the Censorship, but also the great controversies that crossed the Portuguese intelligentsia, often reflecting the divisions between the conceptions of Freedom and Democracy that everyone claimed.
