The vocational school director Katharina loves her demanding and demanding job, which she approaches with humor and empathy. When the desperate mother of 18-year-old Cathleen, who has moved in with her boyfriend on her own, shows up and looks for help, Katharina pledges her support. Especially since the young woman's boyfriend is one of her students and is about to take her final exam. But just then, a new guest lecturer, the food blogger and globetrotter Erik, radios in between her - without realizing what serious family problems are in the background. In order to prevent a tragedy, the self-confident headmistress must also put Erik on course. When Cathleen's mother loses her nerve, the two begin to prove themselves as a team.
