Reinhold Messner is one of the most famous mountaineers and South Tyroleans in the world. At least since he scaled Mount Everest together with Peter Habeler in 1978 without oxygen supply, Messner has been considered a legend of summiteers. In the program “Reinhold Messner – Heimat. Mountains. Adventure” the bearded author, who is also a successful author, looks back on his South Tyrolean homeland. It shows the steep mountains and deep chasms from a very special perspective.
