Guardians Of The Language

Guardians Of The Language

In Latin America there is an enormous variety of native languages. Some of them are spoken by large communities, while others are guarded by a very small number of people, who safeguard the cultural legacy of their peoples. We traveled to Colombia, Paraguay, Bolivia, Chile and Argentina to meet Sixto Muñoz, Cristina Calderón, don Blas and other true guardians of the language. From the hand of the Argentine linguist Santiago Durante, we record the problems of different languages that could disappear and the task that their speakers carry out to perpetuate them.
