María Celeste was a sweet and cheerful young woman who has been raised by Martirio Paniagua, a poor but honest woman. María Celeste is convinced that Martirio is her mother, but she is wrong; she is, in fact, the daughter of a young millionaire who was disinherited in the seventies for marrying a “rocker” musician. When her parents tragically died, little María Celeste was left in the hands of Martirio, a great friend of her mother, who registered her as her own and raised her alongside her real daughter, Irania.
