Latin American Musicians

Latin American Musicians

Fena Della Maggiora travels the Latin American continent to interview and learn about the history of the composers who founded the most revolutionary musical movements of the 20th century. She visits Caetano Veloso and Gilberto Gil, in Brazil; Silvio Rodríguez, in Cuba; Armando Manzanero, in Mexico; and Rubén Blades, in Panama. Each musician offers a revolutionary look at the world, the cities, the street. Fena Della Maggiora follows the tracks that the songs of these musicians have left, through a journey that outlines the anecdotes, memories and stories of these great composers. The Playa Girón fishing boat, the School of Fine Arts in Mexico and the coasts of Rio de Janeiro are some of the settings for these songs that changed the history of music.
