Even if it represents only 5 to 10% of the activity of the brigade, the fight against fire is the most perilous mission of the firefighters. In Marseille, the firefighters have two handicaps: the forest often hit by drought and the arid mountain which makes fires more difficult to fight. Every summer, we can count up to a fire starting every two days. The firefighters had to adapt to this popular land for holidaymakers to ensure their safety day and night. They have developed very realistic training techniques that set a benchmark throughout France.
