The Kalahari - Without a Bow and Arrow
Before sunrise, the honey badger sticks its nose in the dry sand of the Kalahari: a scorpion for breakfast. The springbok, which is only a few hours old, prefers to make its first gaunt attempts during the day, unnoticed by the little lion, who is immersed in the dark mane of his sleepy father, while zebras, billy goats and wildebeests strive towards the waterhole in the shimmering air. The Bushmen - or San, as they are also called - have lived in the Kalahari, which today belongs to Namibia, South Africa and Botswana, for over 20,000 years.
