The Mizuki Diving Club (commonly known as MDC), which Tomoki Sakai attends, was in danger of survival due to deficit management. The condition for the club to survive, proposed by the new coach Natsuyoko Asagi, who suddenly appeared under such MDC, is to "send a Japanese national team player from MDC to the next Olympics."
