Cheap Cinema

The production follows the journey of low-budget Brazilian contemporary cinema. It reveals how they are produced, where they can be seen and the challenges that producers face at the limit of lack of money to pay bills. The series was filmed during visits to film sets outside the main cinema centers in the country, at film festivals, production companies and publishing houses. It features a series of interviews with filmmakers from different generations to address topics such as incentive laws, the relationship between professionalism and amateurism, copyright, cinemas made in the country's periphery and interior, the relationship between trash and punk and the importance of indigenous audiovisual.
