The Ghosts of Portopalo

The ghosts of Portopalo is an Italian television miniseries broadcast on 20 and 21 February 2017 on Rai 1 which tells the story of Saro Ferro (in reality Salvatore Lupo), a fisherman who in 2001 had the courage to tell the truth about the sinking of the F174 took place on Christmas night in 1996 off Portopalo di Capo Passero (Syracuse). The miniseries is freely based on the homonymous book by Giovanni Maria Bellu (played by Giuseppe Battiston) published in 2004.
