Infernal Paradise

Humans have an incredible talent for turning natural paradises into a living hell. The documentary series “Infernal Paradise” by Frank Mirbach and Jürgen Vogt tells of dream islands that were turned into penal colonies – such as Norfolk Island in the Pacific, the island of Pianosa in the Mediterranean and the Îles du Salut off the coast of French Guiana, which are represented by the novel “ Papillon” and its film adaptation became world famous.
