The Big Time (ZA)

It's about a Greek Cypriot entrepreneur Chris Karedes (played by: Frank Opperman) in Joburg and his money-making schemes plus rivalry in his own community. He does the Greeks better than they can do themselves. He begins with a cafe, opens a restaurant, casino and sponsors a football club, gets busted by police, immigration, health inspectors, tax-inspectors etc. He smuggles beer into shebeens in a hearse. He returns to Greece on holiday where his parents secretly organized an arranged marriage to the ugliest girl in the village.He bought a farm and got busted for unknowingly buying stolen Rhodesian cattle.
