Babel of Sin Berlin - Metropolis of Crime 1918-1933
The four-part documentary describes the political and social developments in Berlin during the Weimar Republic using spectacular criminal cases. For the first time, detective inspector Ernst Gennat recognizes the importance of securing evidence and has a car converted into a forensic laboratory. Above all, his knowledge of human nature and his memory make the "Kommissar vom Alexanderplatz" a pioneer of the profiler and a legend even during his lifetime. Documentary recordings scanned in HD enable a reconstruction of the events and reflect the atmosphere in Berlin in the 1920s.
