The dilemmas of the past and the present blend into the story of Angelica and Ricardo, ex-lovers who planned a life together, but ended up separating still at adolescence. Angelica, an intelligent and prestigious scientist, invests all her chips in an experiment that promises to prolong human life. When young, Angelica and Ricardo wanted to pursue a career in science and applied for a scholarship at an American university. But a twist of fate makes only one of them get the scholarship, and the relationship, which seemed stronger than anything, comes to an end. After the breakup, both follow very different paths, but in the same area.
