Out of Spain: A Journey through Sepharad with Yitzhak Navon

This historical documentary series commemorates the Jewish Exile from Spain five hundred years ago. An IBA Israel Television crew set out on a cinematic journey through Spain and Portugal, on a quest to discover the remnants of the Jewish community in the Golden Age – an period of significant economic, scientific and literary prosperity. The series includes the aftermath of the Golden Age – the 300 year Reign of Terror during the Spanish Inquisition – the name of which spells horror not only in Jewish history, but in the history of the entire human race.
