Marie Catches Fire

It revolves around the young Marie, whose barn, in which she celebrates her hen party, goes up in flames that very evening. Marie's father, fire brigade commander Ernst Reiter, can still prevent the worst, but it quickly becomes clear that the volunteer fire brigade in the small fictional village of Wildegg in the Bavarian foothills of the Alps is in very bad shape. Because this important local institution is threatened with closure, Marie decides to join the fire brigade and run the shop with the help of local mayor Olivia Höllriegl.
