Can a relationship founded on mutual need survive? Hua Mei Li (Song Dan Dan) is a migrant business owner of a hot-pot restaurant in Beijing. She needs to establish local residency in order to send her son to the Beijing schools. When she meets Liu De Yi (Fan Ming), a single man who needs money to restart his business, they enter into a contract marriage so they can each get what they need. In order to meet the residency requirements, Mei Li then has to transfer the ownership of her house to De Yi. Can De Yi be trusted with everything that Mei Li has?
