The Mosques Behind The Veil

TV 2's documentary series "The mosques behind the veil" examines whether eight Danish mosques counteract or contribute to integration in Denmark. Leaders and spokesmen from the mosques themselves say that they support the Danish rules and laws, but according to the programme's research, a number of critical Muslims say that the mosques, through their advice and guidance, help to keep Muslims in a parallel society. To investigate what is being said in the mosques, TV 2 has broadcast two so-called moles undercover in mosques in Odense, Copenhagen and Aarhus. They have observed and actively sought guidance from the religious leaders regarding a number of questions about the role of women, the labor market, child rearing and connection to Danish society and recorded the conversations using a hidden camera.
