No matter where one travels, television serves as a window into a nation's culture, from Japan's wacky game shows and India's Bollywood comedies to Colombia's beauty pageants and Israel's political satires. Featuring host and self-described entertainment addict Karla Cavalli, ``Planet Primetime'' spans the globe to find out what's weird, wild, funny, and even dangerous on TV. She experiences many of these global events firsthand by appearing as a guest star on sitcoms and soap operas and as a competitor on crazy game shows. Along the way, Cavalli gets help from local stars who explain their homeland's trends in pop culture entertainment and prep her for guest appearances.
