Folkekirke For Billions

Folkekirke For Billions

Religion In ten years, it has become 2.5 billion kroner more expensive to run the Danish National Church. The church employs more people, holds services in 2,300 well-maintained churches, and it is still Europe's largest majority church - almost 80 percent of the population are members. Still, very few people use it for anything other than Christmas and marking anniversaries in the family. What do the members actually get for the almost 8 billion kroner that the church spends every year? Could it be done better? And what ideas does the church itself have about what the church should look like in the future? In three programs, we visit Hillerød Provsti to take the temperature of the Danish National Church and its economy.
