Iron Men
Ironworking is one of the world's most dangerous occupations, especially when working on skyscrapers in big cities such as New York because the higher you build, the stronger the winds, which presents problems for the workers. Combine that with the snow, rain and bone-chilling cold that is experienced at times in New York and the workers face danger atop steel beams hundreds of feet from the ground. This docu-series follows workers of New York's Local 361 and Local 40, two of the world's most respected ironworking unions, as they battle the conditions to stay on schedule for a multitude of projects that include skyscrapers, bridges and stadiums.
