Ten thousand kilometers and eleven borders with sometimes unexpected difficulties are the cornerstones of the trip that Gerd Ruge made around the Balkans. He didn't look for politicians in the capitals and didn't stay on the main streets, he brought back pictures from a part of Europe that we usually only hear about when there are crises and wars.
