Cellule Identité
More than 700 unidentified corpses are buried in France each year. SDF, undocumented, Alzheimer's or amnesiac patients die in the hospital in anonymity. Still others are found in nature. The decomposition of the bodies, altered by time and their location (in a wood, a river, etc.), then complicates the task of the investigators. Very often, if no apparent trace of homicide is noted during the medico-legal examination, the prosecutor does not launch judicial investigation. The body then joined the square of the destitute in the cemetery, with a simple number for any identification.
