Happy Birthday

The widow Marie Linnebrink works as a midwife in the Hambrück hospital. You and the clinic director Dr. Matthias Greese become a couple. In his private life he deals with the problems of his son Hannes, whose illegitimate son Jupp takes care of it with the help of his brother-in-law Lorenz and his wife Barbara. When Tessy, the boy's mother, returns to Hannes, they take the baby with them. Pastor Martin Bramstedt baptizes the children whose birth Marie is taking care of. Sister Erika Holbruck and the intriguing Dr. Michael Wirtz, who later became managing director of Cürten, joins them. Greese dies, and shortly afterwards Marie realizes a long-cherished idea: she opens her own birthplace. Erika and Dr. Caspar Lentz.
