Augsburger Puppenkiste - Aladin and the magic lamp

The powerful and evil sorcerer of Mauritania is madly in love with the daughter of the Sultan of Baghdad. But only he, as the demon Fe huana tells him, is granted the privilege of marrying the beautiful Bedr el-Budur who comes into possession of the magic lamp. And only one man has the power to take this lamp inhabited by a powerful spirit from its safe haven - Aladin, a boy of poor origin from Baghdad. The sorcerer therefore looks for the boy described, gains his trust and leads him to the underground palace that contains the lamp. But Aladdin, seduced by the demons protecting the lamp, claims the magic lamp for himself and refuses to bring it to the magician, who, he believes, locks him in the palace forever and departs. Aladdin, however, discovers the secret of the lamp, is freed, made a rich man by the genie of the lamp and can now in turn win the heart of the sultan's daughter.
