No Pretty Land

Robert Riedinger is to enter the election campaign with the help of the gift manufacturer Max König and become a member of the Bundestag. But now, of all times, his family is stabbing him in the back with all too anti-authoritarian behavior. Riedinger only manages to stand in the second row as a “coffin candidate” - but when one of the MPs suddenly dies, Riedinger's big hour has come. While the new parliamentarian has to grapple with journalists, housekeepers and the blessings of the bureaucracy, old emancipatory dreams come true for his wife Ulla at home. Daughter Carmen also begins to stand up for the disadvantaged - while grandma is caught stealing.
