In 2005, the nation of Norway celebrates 100 years. In the nations' time reckoning, this is not long. Has Norway done away with childhood and become an adult cultural nation? Is our national self-assertion an expression of healthy patriotism or is it an expression of cultural immaturity? In that case; is Norway still in puberty? Norway has become a pretty and neat suburb on the edge of the real world. For every crisis, the oil price goes up and we become even richer. In 1905, Norwegians were about the poorest people in Europe, today we are according to the UN the richest and happiest people in the whole world. And everything is apparently completely different.
