I swear and promise

A four-part story from the medical environment takes us to a hospital in a border town in northern Bohemia in the immediate aftermath of the war, when, after the departure of German doctors and nurses, Czech doctors took over. It tells not only about the meaning of the medical profession, but also about human destiny at a time when many ideals were ingrained and many real and needed remained somehow in the shadow of others, more proclaimed and desirable. The story of MUDr. Vojtěch Albert begins after the war in the forty-fifth year and ends before February of the forty-eighth year. In the first part, you will not meet Dr. Albert "in white", but in a tight bag, which was given to him on the way from the concentration camp to Prague, which has just risen against the occupiers.
