Madicken

Life in Junibacken, where Madicken and Lisabet live, is as good as elsewhere, sometimes very fun and sometimes very sad, but never boring. It can be sad for such a simple reason as Madicken going to the May fire in his new sandals and throwing one. And even more boring, of course, is when Mia, her class! Comrade, she is beaten by the director, or when Alva, Junibacken's beloved Alva, sits down and cries at the dance because the mayor is so stupid towards her. This is something Madicken cannot stand, because he has a warm heart that protests against everything that is wrong and unfair.
