The Disappearance Of John Avlakioti

In Athens of 1939, an important figure of Athenian society, the charming cosmopolitan John Avlakiotis, mysteriously disappears. His wife, Valentini, asks for the help of Anestis, an "eternally in love" with the failed journalist. He, looking for his traces, gets involved in dangerous situations and clashes with the secret services of the Axis countries, Great Britain and the Silk regime. He discovers that John Avlakiotis was in fact a double agent who directed his disappearance to escape the consequences of the dangerous game in which he was involved.
