The German Chancellor Andreas Weyer has many problems. It doesn't matter whether the Russian president doesn't want to return pictures that disappeared during World War II, whether the Chancellor is suffering from back pain or whether the German ambassador in Turkey is shot. Privately, widower Weyer lives together with his 17-year-old daughter Nina, who has fallen in love with a salsa dancer. The series attempts to portray the everyday life of politicians using freely invented but realistic stories, a concept that has already been successfully tested in the USA and Great Britain. The series was well received not only by the German audience but also by politicians. "Chancellery is entertaining, exciting and interesting," said former head of the Chancellery Friedrich Bohl (CDU), for example.
