Red Star Line
Between 1873 and 1934, the Belgian shipping company Red Star Line transported around 2 million migrants from Antwerp to New York. What makes the Red Star Line unique is that, during its rich history, this company mainly transported Eastern Europeans to the United States, many of whom were of Jewish origin. As a result, Antwerp was the most important passenger port in Europe at that time.
