La Betìa ovvero in amore, per ogni gaudenza, ci vuole sofferenza

A poor laborer, Zilio, wants to marry Betìa, the daughter of a rich peasant woman. After a number of refusals Zilio is desperate, but his friend Nale plots a sham marriage between the two, convinced he can take advantage of it.
